Defensively, Michigan State returns nine starters from a squad that was seventh in the country in yards allowed per game. Josiah Scott and Justin Layne form possibly the best cornerback tandem in college football, while Joe Bachie is arguably the best linebacker in the conference. The Michigan State Spartans don’t have the easiest schedule in the world, but they will make a push for the Big Ten Championship.
