The Washington Nationals will look to build some steam after avoiding the sweep at the hands of the Mets in emphatic fashion, with a 15-0 win in the series finale on Sunday. Wilson Ramos led the Phils with three RBIs, going 4 for 5 with a double while Carlos Santana and Maikel Franco each had two RBIs and a home run, while Rhys Hoskins added a solo homer of his own to round out Philadelphia’s scoring in the win. Asdrubal Cabrera and Nick Williams each went 2 for 5 with a double while Odubel Herrera and Scott Kingery each added a base hit of their own to cap off the Phillies’ offense in the winning effort. Vince Velasquez got the win to improve to 9-9 this season after allowing two runs on three hits while striking out six over five innings of work.
