The A’s are playing in yet another Facebook-only game in Thursday’s matinee. Edwin Jackson has continued to defy his age and the A’s never seem out of it when he takes the mound. The Los Angeles Angels are finishing the season strong, and Pena is a pitcher who has allowed two runs in his last 13 innings and has an ERA of 2.21 on the road this season. The Oakland Athletics have cooled off over the last week, and Anderson has given up 14 hits and nine runs in his last six innings. While the Angels and the plus money feels like a nice value play, the A’s have been too kind to us all year to jump off the bandwagon after a cold week. The Athletics are still one of the better home teams in the league and will turn things around sooner than later. I’ll take the OK price with the A’s at home to get back on track.
