THE All Blacks are on the verge of wrapping up the Rugby Championship with two games to spare when they face a struggling Springboks side in Wellington tonight (5.35pm AEST).
The world champions start as heavy favourites with the once ferocious battles between New Zealand and South Africa becoming a fading memory.
The All Blacks have won 11 of their last 12 encounters, including the last six by an average margin of 23 points.
The All Blacks go into the Test with a maximum 15 points from three games while South Africa are second with six points with Australia and Argentina on four.
A bonus point win would seal a third straight title for New Zealand, who have won 15 of the 22 southern hemisphere championships since 1996.
The Springboks have it all to do on Saturday, as they prepare to take on the rampant All Black in the fourth round of the Rugby Championship.
Rassie Erasmus’ men suffered a second straight defeat last Saturday when they relinquished a halftime lead to go down in Brisbane.
They remain in second place in the standings but are nine points behind the world champions, who have claimed a full house of points in all three of their fixtures in the competition so far.

This means that the Springboks go into Saturday’s clash as rank underdogs, and have suffered a major setback with one of the men who touched down in their last outing, Makazole Mapimpi sent back home after suffering a knee injury during the first half of the match.
